Our Story:
From Inspiration to Innovation
CurlCap was founded in 2017 with a simple yet powerful idea: to create stylish, functional headwear that prioritizes hair care. Inspired by her own journey of managing textured hair and scalp psoriasis, award winning inventor and CEO Britney Sadè designed a solution that would meet the unique needs of individuals with diverse hair and styles.
The result was CurlCap — a patented, backless, satin-lined cap that not only protects hair but celebrates it. More than a product, CurlCap represents a movement empowering individuals to embrace their natural beauty and express themselves with confidence.
Breaking Barriers & Making History
CurlCap is redefining what’s possible in headwear while breaking barriers along the way. In 2023, the brand made history as the first Black woman-owned company with a patented design to sell officially licensed Disney apparel. This landmark achievement underscores CurlCap’s commitment to innovation, representation, and creating opportunities for others to follow.
